Situated near Stellenbosch, Spier is one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. Continuing a long-held tradition, Spier is a family-owned farm. The current owners acquired the farm in 1993 and continue to produce wines that are among the most awarded in the country. The Spier Creative Block 5 2021 is a true symphony of a red wine, with Bordeaux varietals led by Cabernet Sauvignon achieving a perfect, rousing harmony. If you ever need a standout performance from a red come dinnertime, then this is your blend. Blackberry, cherry and blackcurrant is supported by cedar, dark chocolate and fennel hints. The vibrant palate has great balance and dense tannins. The taste will be enhanced by ageing.
